It's true. The Grounded Theory Review is now an open access journal! Please check it out, at its new website: http://groundedtheoryreview.com/
Dr. Barney Glaser's latest Books:
Memoing: A Vital Grounded Theory Procedure by Barney Glaser is now avaiable for sale! You can find it at sociologypress.com .
No Preconceptions: The Grounded Theory Dictum by Barney Glaser is now available for purchase.
No Preconceptions: the Grounded Theory Dictum discusses at length how preconceived questions, problems and codes all block emergent coding, hence block classical GT. Preconceived field research is often flat or boring for its lack of grounded fit or relevance. There is no grab. Starting a GT research without knowing the participant’s problems or concepts explaining their resolution is highly motivating, because the researcher starts the path to autonomous discovery. This is the path of knowing nothing about participant’s main concerns to knowing an in-depth theory explaining how they resolve their main concerns.

Holton, J.A. & Glaser, B.G., Eds. (2012). The Grounded Theory Review Methodology Reader: Selected Papers 2004-2011. Mill Valley, CA: Sociology Press.
This Reader brings together several of the most requested papers published in The Grounded Theory Review between 2004 and 2011. It is intended to serve as a sourcebook of methodological realization and motivation for anyone in undertaking a grounded theory (GT) study, whether novice or experienced. The papers included offer good advice from those who know and practice classic GT and will, we trust, help to clarify novice confusion and perhaps as well progress the understanding of more experienced grounded theorists. Methodological issues covered include: history and philosophical stance of classic GT, avoiding preconception, reviewing the literature, data collection, coding and analysis, conceptualization and constant comparative method.

Congratulations to editors Vivian Martin and Astrid Gynnild on the publication of Grounded Theory: the Philosophy, Method, and Work of Barney Glaser.
This anthology brings together a collection of articles on classic grounded theory organized around the concept of mentoring the method. The four sections for the book are: "Teaching Grounded Theory", "Doing Grounded Theory", "Historical and Philosophical Grounding", and "Advancing Grounded Theory".
With 19 contributors, most of whom have studied with Barney Glaser; the book is a wonderful tribute to both the man and the method. It does a great job of explaining the roots of GT (exploring the life, philosophies and influences on Barney Glaser), correcting some misunderstanding about the method, and looking at advances in the method. It is useful to both the novice and the experienced researcher.
Check out these video clips from one of Barney Glaser’s Grounded Theory troubleshooting seminars. He talks about the literature review, grounded theory as a jargon, high impact variables, conceptualization, and more.
